Procurement Consulting & Price Negotiation

Better prices and safer terms, negotiated on your side of the table.

What this is

Negotiating with a supplier on the other side of the world is asymmetric: they know their costs, their market and their margins. You know the quote in front of you. Procurement consulting exists to remove that asymmetry.

We benchmark your target prices against the real Indian market, build a negotiation position from evidence, and then negotiate — leading the conversation or supporting yours. Just as importantly, we work on the terms around the price: payment structure, Incoterms, delivery commitments. A good unit price on bad terms is not a good deal.

Who it's for

  • Buyers negotiating with Indian suppliers for the first time
  • Companies consolidating spend across multiple suppliers
  • Teams that need local market price benchmarks before committing

Why buyers need this

First quotes from Indian suppliers are opening positions, not final prices. Buyers who accept them leave margin on the table.

Payment terms and Incoterms move more risk than the unit price ever will.

Without local benchmarks, you cannot tell a fair price from a hopeful one.

Frequently asked questions

How do your fees work?

We work on the buyer's side, and every sourcing requirement is different — fees depend upon the scope of work, product category and level of sourcing support required. All commercial terms are discussed and confirmed in writing before any engagement begins.

Do you buy on our behalf?

Generally, no — you purchase directly from the supplier while we advise and negotiate on your side. If a different structure is needed, it is agreed in the written proposal.

Can you renegotiate an existing supplier relationship?

Yes — long-standing relationships are often where benchmarking finds the most value, because prices that crept up over the years have never been tested against the market.

When should we involve you — before or after getting quotes?

Earlier is better; once quotes are exchanged, positions harden. But we can also benchmark and renegotiate quotes you already hold.
